Plentiful breakfasts, and excellent staff.
Wonderful old, big size hotel in a really nice-style building. Well-appointed rooms & brand new bathrooms. Comfortable bed, very good service. Absolutely perfect location to centre of Bowness, really nice restaurants in the local area. Again, not far from The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction.

Bowness vibes 🌊🏞️
Brekkie was great, I mean seriously, the black pudding was a game-changer! And the owners are just so lekker. The mountain view from my room was just fine, I could sit there all day!
Only downside, had a bit of a loud guest during the night, but otherwise, all good!

The owner, Michael, gave us a warm welcome on arrival. Our room was on the first floor and was large and very comfortable. The house itself is a large victorian dwelling and is very homely and warm. I would recommend Oakfold House whole heartedly and would definately stay there again when we are next in the area.

Breakfast was excellent, with homemade bread and a wide selection of delicious dishes. The location was very convenient, within walking distance to Bowness, and the owners were particularly friendly and accommodating, even providing local recommendations and a map.
No notable downsides.

The attic room was charming, but the ceiling felt a bit low for me.

We chose Oakfold House because you are allowed to take your dog and looked like the best one. This hotel did not smell doggy. Clean, friendly and in a good location.

Took pot luck from the internet - chosen on a weekend when the resort was almost booked to capacity. It was a very lucky find! We would certainly recommend it.

Comfy bed and cozy guest lounge with charm.
I was disappointed by the late check-in time. It delayed our plans. The early checkout time was also quite inconvenient. We noticed a lack of USB chargers in the room, frustrating since I had to buy an adapter .

The staff were friendly, the whole place was really quiet and relaxing. Also, the breakfasts were fantastic, we tried the big cooked breakfast and then the continental and both filled us up ready for the day ahead. It was just lovely and it's ina great location.

Lovely B&B. Great location. Good value for money, definitely worth 4* accreditation. Many tasty breakfast options. The finer details accounted for. Super hosts. Would and have already highly recommended.
